  • The Hook

    In order to reach court-involved young men, we work with the court system to offer would-be participants something they want, but cannot find elsewhere: credit towards court costs, fees and fines that result in arrest warrants, community service and jail time. [read more]

  • The Rap

    We offer participants an eight-week curriculum, two hours twice a week, that incorporates everything from hip-hop songs by Common and Tupac to episodes of “The Wire,” excerpts from Philippe Bourgois’s Selling Crack in El Barrio, WEB DuBois’s The Souls of Black Folk and more. [read more]
  • The Hookup

    Through partnerships with the Black Ministerial Alliance and other organizations, we locate assets and resources, such as jobs, job training, trade programs and union apprenticeships that will increase participants’ chances to achieve economic self-sufficiency. [read more]

  • Our mission is to offer court-involved young men powerful incentives to participate in innovative programming that connects them to jobs and resources that reduce underground employment and recidivism.
